Pakistan is the only country to have reported a decrease in treatment through public awareness campaigns. The results were scientifically proven by a repeat population-based study after 5 years of the onset of sustained epilepsy awareness program.

NRPWF’s Comprehensive Epilepsy Control Programme of Pakistan, (National Epilepsy Centre at JPMC and Epilepsy Support Pakistan) has been presented at the Roundtable held by ILAE and IBE as a model to represent epilepsy as an entry point for strengthening care and treatment for epilepsy and other neurological disorders under the WHO’s Intersectoral Global Action Plan on Epilepsy and Other Neurological Disorders (IGAP)
