Wherever the Art of Medicine is Loved
There is Also a Love of Humanity
There are 2.2 million people with epilepsy in Pakistan and only one neurologist per 9,000 to take care of them with most of them concentrated in major cities of the country. A significant number of people in far off areas remain either deprived of epilepsy management or poorly managed as the cost to reach a specialist is very high.
Worldwide the Primary Care Physicians (PCP) are the first line caregivers, and the patients are referred to a neurologist only when the treatment prescribed is not helping control seizures.
You can become the National Epilepsy Centre’s Outreach PCP to provide quality near-home epilepsy management by registering yourself with us. With this you shall be entitled to telemedicine sessions with our doctors to discuss your difficult cases online. We also offer online clinical education for PCPs on management of epilepsy in an outreach clinic.
