Pakistan is the only country to have reported a decrease in treatment through public awareness campaigns. The results were scientifically proven by a repeat population-based study after 5 years of the onset of sustained epilepsy awareness program.

Comprehensive Epilepsy Control Programme of Pakistan has been presented as a model to represent epilepsy as an entry point for strengthening care and treatment for many neurological disorders under the Intersectoral Global Action Plan on Epilepsy and Other Neurological Disorders (IGAP)
